THE POOR WISE MAN WHO DELIVERED A CITY: Ecclesiastes 9 + Shakespeare

Shakespeare wrote:

Blow! Blow! Thou winter wind

Thou art not so unkind

As man’s ingratitude.

Freeze, Freeze thou bitter sky,

Thou dost not bite so nigh

As benefits forgot.

Though thou the waters warp,

Thy tooth is not so sharp

As friend remembered not.

What is The Veil? Isaiah 25:6-8

(Hosea 13:14)
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

THE CALL OF ABRAHAM: Genesis 12 + Seven-fold Promise

I will make of thee a great nation.
And I will bless thee.
And I will make thy name great.
And be thou a blessing;
And I will bless them that bless thee.
And I will curse him that curseth thee,
And in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed. (Genesis 12:2,3)

For freedom did Christ set us free: Galatians 5

For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:1

THE PROBLEM OF HANDLING DOUBT IN DIFFICULT TIMES: Psalm 77

I will cry unto God with my voice, Even unto God with my voice; and he will give ear unto me. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: My hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; My soul refused to be comforted. I remember God, and am disquieted: I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed.

Listen to Malachi

God says that Elijah also will be sent before the coming of Christ. The Lord Himself relates this prophecy to John the Baptist too (Matthew 11:14; compare Luke 1:17) while John says that he is not Elijah (John 1:21). This seeming contradiction is solved by the fact that His second appearing in glory for judgment will follow Christ’s rejection. So before this “great and dreadful day of Jehovah” will come Elijah will appear and announce the second coming of Christ for judgment (Revelation 11:3-6).
