Beginning in John chapter 2, and continuing through chapter 12 (John 2-12) is the first main section of this Gospel, in which seven great signs pointing to the deity of Christ are recounted.
The analogy becomes a contrast in the matter of how many may win. In the earthly contest, only one receives the prize; but in the heavenly contest, every man may do so, since his victory does not depend upon any relationship between his achievement and the achievement of his fellow contestant.
Heaven is Real!
Don’t let anyone persuade you with the Satanic Propaganda that HEAVEN and HELL are not real, but only biblical metaphors!
Anyone pushing this false teaching, this new age, feel good, so-called religious garbage will have to answer to God in person on Judgment Day, before His throne in HEAVEN!
When the seed is planted, and it lands on good soil, the Lord can do beautiful things with it, and the Christian servants it yields are for GOD’S GLORY, not mine or anyone else’s.
“I am the bread of life” is one of the SEVEN great “I AM’S” of John.
HOPE for the Christian is Christ the Lord, who has entered into that which is beyond the veil, that is, into heaven itself; and this corresponds to the actions of the ancient high priest who was typical of Christ in that he went into the Holy of Holies, behind the veil, in the tabernacle.
The Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ is our BRIDGE from this World to Heaven. When we gather with the saints this Easter Sunday, as we partake in the Lord’s Supper, we must thank our Heavenly Father for the ultimate gift of His ONLY Son, the BLOOD that our Savior shed (the fruit of the vine), Christ’s broken BODY (the unleavened bread), and Death, nailed the Cross, and His miraculous RESURRECTION, three days later.
As we remember, we must also look forward to His glorious return!
