The pursuit of earthly treasures is a disease that feeds and increases upon itself.
It is fitting enough, and absolutely in accord with what is revealed in the prophets that the judgment should finally come at the end of the Fourth Great Transgression of humanity.
There are four things mentioned by Paul in 1 Corinthians 1, which belong to the Christian by virtue of his being “in Christ.” Satan, death and hell have no claim on the one who is “IN CHRIST!”
Many people, even Christians unfortunately, grow accustomed to being in darkness, which becomes comfortable for them. The comfort is a lie, from the father of lies.

The Spirit also convicts of righteousness by revealing the mystery of how a man may acquire a righteousness not his own, that being the righteousness of Christ, available to all who receive and obey the gospel, thus being inducted “into Christ,” and identified with Christ as Christ.
As in most of the others, with regard to committing adultery, GOD did not give a reason for this prohibition. NONE WAS NEEDED.

Nothing could be any clearer than the presentation in Scripture of the kingdom of evil as an organized wickedness, directed by a powerful and malignant leader, a personal ruler of darkness, having as his objective the destruction of souls.

It is: (1) short, (2) spontaneous, (3) God-oriented, the first three petitions being for things of God rather than for things of men, (4) extemporaneous, being given in two forms by Christ himself as evidenced by the Matthew and Luke accounts, (5) to the point, and (6) full of humility.
