Art as expression – NOT as market campaigns, will still capture our Imaginations
Satan promised Eve that she should be “as God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5); but the unfortunate mother of all living would have been wiser to have remained simple to the wisdom Satan offered. This is the thrust of Paul’s word here.
What then should be done with the light or influence of the Christian’s life?
It should be placed upon
“THE STAND.”
Wisdom cannot be discovered by searching the Earth; it cannot be purchased with gold or precious stones; and man cannot even ascertain the place where it might be found. It is no ordinary kind of wisdom that is spoken of in God’s Word.
Pretending to serve Christ, they serve themselves alone, “belly” as used here being a reference to all of the carnal and fleshly desires.

Regarding the subject of when the names of the saved are inscribed in the book of life, it would appear to be at the time of their entry into the kingdom of God, that is, when they confess Christ and are baptized into him.
Our very civilization today is under attack by all the forces of evil, and the home is primarily the focus of that attack. The beginning of all law and order lies right here in Commandment V. The home is the place where the young human must learn to accept and honor authority. And if he does not do so in the home, he becomes a troublemaker in school, and soon graduates to the police court.
