PEACE IS BETTER THAN WAR!

So deeply ingrained in the fabric of Western civilization is the basic Christian concept of peace being better than war, that there are many who are seemingly unaware of its origin and of the Christian roots that sustain it.

God so loved the WORLD that he gave his only Son – Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Mark 16:16

WHAT WILL BE THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING AND OF THE CLOSE OF THE AGE? – Matthew 24

Jesus answered all three questions, giving the sign of his coming, outlining the salient features of the destruction of Jerusalem, making that event a type of his second coming, and setting forth a number of details applicable to both events.

VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY, SAYS THE LORD – Romans 12

The child of God may not set himself to “get even” with another, nor retaliate in kind against any who might slight or wrong him.

IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO IS AGAINST US?! – Psalms 46

This psalm is both historical and prophetic. It refers to things that happened in Israel; and it is a prophecy concerning the New Testament Church.

WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR BURDENS – Galatians 6

Every man or woman, rich or poor, old or young, wise or foolish, weak or strong, has some burden to bear.

JEHOVAH IS SLOW TO ANGER, AND GREAT IN POWER, AND WILL BY NO MEANS CLEAR THE GUILTY – Nahum 1

God’s justice required that such evil be punished in Nineveh; and it still does to this very hour!

Never forget, God is watching!

THE LOVE OF MONEY IS IDOLATRY – Hebrews 13

The love of money springs from sinful discontent with one’s status in life, his possessions, the extent of his luxuries and comforts, or his lack of the power money might bring; but there is a corollary of that discontent, namely, a lack of trust in the providence of God.

DO NOT QUENCH THE SPIRIT – 1 Thessalonians 5

The word for “quench” was used of putting out a fire, and the thought is that the child of God should not put out the sacred fire within.

THE CHRISTIAN’S STRUGGLE – SPIRITUAL WARFARE AGAINST EVIL! – Ephesians 6

The Spirit also convicts of righteousness by revealing the mystery of how a man may acquire a righteousness not his own, that being the righteousness of Christ, available to all who receive and obey the gospel, thus being inducted “into Christ,” and identified with Christ as Christ.

THE NINTH COMMANDMENT –
THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST THY NEIGHBOR – Exodus 20

The imagination of men is involved in the violation of this commandment, because, if one does not tell the truth, the imagination is the only source of what he does tell.

THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT –
THOU SHALT NOT STEAL – Exodus 20

Frequently, the human family have attempted to get rid of private property and to inaugurate some form of communal living, but thousands of years of experience have demonstrated invariably the futility and failure of all such systems.

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE! – Matthew 5

What then should be done with the light or influence of the Christian’s life?

It should be placed upon
“THE STAND.”

THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT –
THOU SHALT NOT KILL – Exodus 20

The violation of it by self-styled liberal societies has already drowned the world in blood and may yet deliver the whole earth into the hands of ruthless murderers.

THE ONE BODY – 1 Corinthians 12

God saves people, not by injecting righteousness into them (on the grounds of their faith and/or obedience), but by transferring them “into Christ,” identifying them “as Christ,” and making them, in fact, to be Christ.

THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT:
THOU SHALT NOT STEAL – Ukraine Edition – Exodus 20

Without property, life itself is in jeopardy. Frequently, the human family have attempted to get rid of private property and to inaugurate some form of communal living, but thousands of years of experience have demonstrated invariably the futility and failure of all such systems.

THE CHRISTIAN VIEW OF THE STATE

There are two kinds of states; and, besides that, the same principles of submission are enjoined upon Christians with reference to both kinds, as plainly indicated in Revelation 13:10 where John implied the very fullest consonance with all that Paul and Peter wrote.

REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS; AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. – Acts 2

The idea of an unbaptized Christian is simply not entertained in the New Testament.

“WE KNOW!” – THE THREE GREAT CERTAINTIES of GOD – 1 John 5

We are “in Christ,” having believed in him and having been baptized into the “one body,” Christ’s spiritual body. As a result of Christ’s redemptive work, we enjoy eternal life (presently, in the joys of Christian service, and ultimately, throughout all eternity).

WHO SHALL DELIVER ME OUT OF THE BODY OF THIS DEATH? Romans 7

This is the cry of every man who is not saved. In the large view, it is the agonizing cry of all the world, especially of the benighted populations of the pre-Christian ages.

NINEVEH THAT GREAT CITY – Jonah 1

The present day conception of God as a mild, indulgent father-image of one who loves everybody no matter what they do, and as one who will never actually punish anyone, is a gross perversion of the truth.
