THE INDWELLING SPIRIT – Romans 8

The Holy Spirit is the blessed Spirit, a member of the GODHEAD, who takes up residence in Christian hearts in consequence of their being sons of God (Galatians 4:6), and in fulfillment of the apostolic promise of such an indwelling to all believers who will repent and be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38f), and is thus identifiable as the “Holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13).

THE CHRISTIAN RACE – Hebrews 12

When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes

SEEING THE INVISIBLE

GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION

Christ made it clear enough that salvation is the result, not of merely believing but of believing and being baptized. The preconditions upon which Christ promised to transfer sinners into himself are here stated as faith and baptism.

GOD’S PROVIDENTIAL CARE FOR HIS CHILDREN – Matthew 10

The mystery of how God cares for the myriads of his creatures both great and small is an unfailing marvel. Anyone familiar with wild life is aware of the remarkable continuation of every species from age to age. That God does indeed do this is a certainty.

INTO THE DARKNESS

Many people, even Christians unfortunately, grow accustomed to being in darkness, which becomes comfortable for them. The comfort is a lie, from the father of lies.
