Our lives get busy, the day grows long, perhaps we’ve binged more than we care to admit, and before we know it is time to go to bed. Have we remembered to pray throughout the day?
Since faith comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17), it follows that walking by faith means walking as directed by God’s word.
The supreme majesty and glory of the ineffable God, Creator and upholder of all things, whose existence is from everlasting to everlasting – let people contemplate such as this, and all of their petty misgivings and doubts will disappear.
There are two intercessors for the Christian: (1) Christ at the right hand of the Majesty on High. (Hebrews 7:25) (2) The Holy Spirit within the Christian himself.
This habit of praying toward a particular point has been maintained till this day by the Muslims who pray in the direction of Mecca.
In the light of Christ’s word, “In vain do they worship me, teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men,” one is compelled to view innovations in Christian worship as extremely sinful and hurtful.
